Review: Madame Milly Nail Polish in Hot Pink

The kit this is from was purchased for me by my husband a few months ago.  I am not sure if the same kit is still available; this series of reviews is intended to help with deciding whether future purchases from this brand is worthwhile.

Nail Polish:    Madame Milly Nail Polish in Hot Pink

Day Applied:    4/11/13

Cost: (Without any discounts)    Kits at Kohl's range from $20 to $40.  Kohl's does run regular sales so I always recommend waiting for one of those when considering makeup there.

Coats until same color as the bottle

One coat other than the thumb which required two due to the size of the thumb nails.

Cream    Yes
Shimmer    No
Glitter    No
Other    No

Drying time:    between 10 to 20 minutes.

This is a thicker polish and I can see obvious brush strokes from up close although my husband says he can't see them, but he isn't looking as close as I am.

Bonus image: Color transferred to the brush while applying the clear coat on the second day, before the day two image was taken.  Not as bad as it was with the red nail polish, but still best to wipe down the brush before putting back the in bottle for more clear coat.

Day Two:

Right hand nails some very light chipping on the tips of the index and middle nails.

Day Two Image

Day Three:

Left hand nails, index finger a very slight chip, as well as on the thumb nail. Right hand nails, looks a lot like yesterday though with the addition of some wear on the thumb nail.

Day Four:

Left hand nails, tip wear across all of them, very light although there is a tiny flake on the left hand side of the ring finger nail. Right hand nails, index and middle nails more chipped than yesterday, but still very small chips.

Day Five:

Left hand nails, small chips on all of them. Right hand nails, also small chips on all of them.

Day Five Image

Day Six:

Left and right hand nails all have at least small chips on them and at least half of the nails have medium sized chips on them.

Day Seven:

Left hand nails, lot of chipping going on across all of the tips. What isn't shown in the photo is shortly after this was taken the middle nail got a large chip in the polish so that now the entire white bit of the nail is visible. Right hand nails photographed by my husband. A lot of chipping on all of the tips of the nails, thumb nail is actually the worst chipped of the hand.
