Review: Madame Milly Eye Shadow Quad #3

From Left to right:

With Primer/Applied with brush
No Primer/Applied with brush
With Primer/Applied with finger
No Primer/Applied with finger

Top Left Shadow:

Applied at 11:00 am

Crease time without primer: 4:00 pm, 5 hours.

Crease time with e.l.f. eyeshadow primer: 7:30 pm, 8 hours and 30 minutes.

Fade time without primer: 4:00 pm, 5 hours.

Fade time with e.l.f. eyeshadow primer: 4:00 pm, 5 hours.

Fallout to rest of face: Definite fallout.

Can I actually see the color on the lid: This is a very light pastel purple and required a lot of work to build up the color. The side with the primer was slightly easier to build up than the side without, although on both sides I still felt like I could see through to the skin.

Day or Night Makeup:

Day Makeup, because of the length of wear. If using in a small area it does fine, but when trying to cover the whole lid, not so much. Not going to be an often used eye shadow most likely, but will get used during the day.

Top Right Shadow:

Applied at 11:00 am

Crease time without primer: 2:00 pm, 3 hours.

Crease time with e.l.f. eyeshadow primer: 5:30 pm, 6 hours and 30 minutes.

Fade time without primer: 2:30 pm, 3 hours and 30 minutes.

Fade time with e.l.f. eyeshadow primer: 6:30 pm, 7 hours and 30 minutes.

Fallout to rest of face: Minimal fallout when patting motion used to apply, otherwise, lots of fallout.

Can I actually see the color on the lid: This color showed very well on the lid and looked like the color in the pan.

Day or Night Makeup:

Day makeup, my notes indicate that it only creased on the primed side after working up a sweat trying to clean.

Bottom Left Shadow:

Applied at 10:15 am.

Crease time without primer: Did not last long enough on the lid to crease.

Crease time with e.l.f. eyeshadow primer: Did not last long enough on the lid to crease.

Fade time without primer: 10:37 am, 17 minutes.

Fade time with e.l.f. eyeshadow primer: 11:15 am, 1 hour.

Fallout to rest of face: Some shimmer fallout.

Can I actually see the color on the lid: The primed side showed better at application, but by the time the rest of the face was done all of the color was basically gone on both sides. It also never became opaque.

Day or Night Makeup:

Night makeup if used by itself. When layered on top of the purple it actually held on much better.

Bottom Right Shadow:

Applied at 10:10 am.

Crease time without primer: 12:38 pm, 2 hours and 28 minutes.

Crease time with e.l.f. eyeshadow primer: 3:40 pm, 5 hours and 30 minutes.

Fade time without primer: Could not actually tell when it faded because of appearance on lid.

Fade time with e.l.f. eyeshadow primer: Could not actually tell when it faded because of appearance on lid.

Fallout to rest of face: There was a lot of glitter all over my face after application.

Can I actually see the color on the lid: Frosty/slightly metallic look. Appears white with a very slight pink tint when used on lid, worked well as a highlight color under brow and in inner corner.

Day or Night Makeup:

Day makeup, but only as a highlighter. Night makeup if planning to use on the lid.

Can two colors from the same brand be blended together:

This palette I didn’t have a lot of hope for given the wear time of some of the shadows by themselves, but when worked with together and over a cream shadow base as well as the primer, they actually worked well and looked nice. They did blend reasonably well together but this is a palette that is going to need some help to get it to work well.
